About Pacific SLSC

We provide a weekend patrol on Saturday and on Sunday starting in November and finishing in March, from our clubrooms at Marine Parade, Napier

We train our members to become valuable Lifeguards who patrol our beach, teaching techniques from surf swimming through to vital lifesaving and resuscitation skills.

Senior training (14 years and above) is conducted from our Gear shed at Meeanee Quay with trainings also at Waipatiki, Waimarama, Ocean and Pacific Clubrooms foreshore enabling our guards to learn in all conditions.

During patrol season, City Nippers (ages 7 - 13) training is conducted from the Perfume Point Reserve, Hardinge Road each Sunday morning from 10.00am to 12.00, also enjoying outings to Waimarama.

Once 14 and a qualified lifeguard Surf Sports competition provides members the opportunity to refine and practice their lifesaving skills in the competition arena at local, state, national and international level.  Surf Sports forms a significant component of the Surf Life Saving movement.
